Yesterday July 31st, 2014 evening at dusk wildebeest began to gather in large numbers at a site on the Mara River we call Toyota.

Wildbeest assemble, ready to cross the mara river

They teetered on the edge of a high cliff, the mass of bodies pushed one little one off the cliff and soon the rest followed bravely jumping down the steep slope.

Start jumbing off the cliff

Its was quite a fall and some were badly injured, they then crossed the Mara River.

Waiting on the other side was the whole of the Marsh Pride who were hunting, the pride sprung into action bringing down 9 wildebeest and then a leopard arrived on the scene ever so quietly watching the action from the river bank…

Now crossing the river

A dramatic crossing indeed.
