GIRAFFE CENTRE

Discover Daisy’s Story
She is one of 10 Rothschild Giraffes under our care. Born at the Centre, She is Daisy IV, named after Daisy I, the first giraffe at the centre in 1979.

DAVID SHELDRICK ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE
For as little as US$50.00 a year. Adopt an orphan elephant, rhino or giraffe for yourself or as a gift – offering life and hope to an animal in need. Only open once per day from 11:00 to 12:00 so you should be at the gate from 10:30.

NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK
Is a unique and unspoilt wildlife haven within the sight of the city’s skyline. It’s the only park that borders a capital city and has been around since 1946. Wide open grass, scattered acacia bush play host to a wide variety of wildlife including four members of the big five, exceptional being the elephant. Animals to be found here include; endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffalos, giraffes, wildebeests, and diverse bird life, approximately 520 species have been recorded.

NAIROBI SAFARI WALK
“The Closest you can get to the Wild”
With its raised wooden boardwalk that allows for uninterrupted views of the animals, the Safari Walk is a show case for Kenya’s Parks and Reserves, allowing visitors to discover what they can expect to see across the country. Visitors can see a sample of the country’s rich animal life including the rare bongo, white rhino and albino zebra as well as big cats, antelopes and primates. It is also home to some 150 species of local trees.

 

Tour Itinerary

Depart at 07:00 from your hotel to Giraffe Centre followed by visiting David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage where you should be before 10:30 then after lunch. A tour to Nairobi National Park shall follow ending with Nairobi Safari Walk and drop off in the hotel at 18:00. All are bountiful in both wildlife and bird species.

For optimal enjoyment of your safari, we urge you to carry the following:
All weather firm shoe pair, short and dress to use during the day, trouser for use in the evenings with long sleeved shirt, sweater or jacket, hat, swimming costume, sunglass, camera, binocular, sun protection cream and insect repellent spray or cream.
