“Land of Lava, Springs, Man-Eaters & Magical Sunsets”

From the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal-clear water gushing out from beneath the parched lava rock at Mzima Springs to the Shetani lava flows, Tsavo West National Park is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. The savannah ecosystem comprises open grasslands, scrublands, Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation, and rocky ridges, including the Poacher’s Lookout, where visitors can see the teeming herds on the plains below.

“Home of the African Elephant”

Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here, ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli to wetlands with sulphur springs, savannah, and woodlands. Visitors can also experience the authentic culture of the local Maasai community living around the park.

They will also demonstrate their deep affection for their homestead, called a Boma, which consists of round huts made of sticks, mud, and cow dung. Children will be joyfully singing with their mothers, expressing their natural hospitality to visitors. Despite the current mandatory school attendance, some Masai children may be reluctant to attend due to strong cultural beliefs. These include the importance of cattle as a measure of wealth and the tradition of marrying at a young age, often when they are just entering their teenage years. Please note this activity is purely optional and incurs an additional cost of US$30.00, organized by your driver-guide.
