Main Naibor Camp, a Masai word for ‘space’, is a luxury tented camp deep in the heart of the
Masai Mara National Reserve. Designed as a space away from the hurly-burly of modern life,
where the hustle and bustle is provided only by the wild animals.
Main Naibor Camp is hidden in
a grove of riverine woodland on the banks of the Talek River. Located just minutes from one of
the world-famous wildebeest crossing sites, the environment teems with wildlife, flora, and
fauna.
Main Naibor has a total of seven luxury tents, carefully positioned amongst the trees for
complete privacy. A tented safari par excellence, the camp is thoughtfully and tastefully
designed, allowing all comforts to be met while enabling complete immersion in the splendour of
the natural world outside.
Detailed Kenya Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Masai Mara National Reserve, Naibor Camp (Fullboard)
Meet and greet at the hotel reception, then transfer to the airport before 07:00. Fly from either
Moi International Airport Mombasa, Diani Airport, or Malindi Airport before 07:30 to Ol
Kiombo Airstrip in Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving after about 2 hours. Upon arrival, you
will be met and picked up by a 4WD Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for to the Main Naobor
Camp, with a great possibility of seeing wildlife in their natural habitat within the Masai Mara
National Reserve. There will be refreshments followed by lunch at 13:00.
Afternoon game drive from 15:30 to 18:30 time for refreshments, followed by dinner at 19:30
and overnight stay in the camp.

The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of Africa’s most famous parks. The wildlife viewing is superb throughout the year. The grassy plains and regular rainfall supports a huge population of herbivores, in turn attracting many predators. All three big cats are relatively easy to see. The yearly wildebeest migration coming through the park is one of the world’s most amazing wildlife spectacles.
The Serengeti-Mara ecosystem is home to the annual wildebeest migration where 2.5 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelles follow the rains in search of new grass. They make their way from the Serengeti National Park to the Masai Mara National Reserve somewhere around July and August, and usually arrive in September. The crossing of the Mara River along the way is one of the highlights of this spectacular event. They slowly head back into Tanzania around October.

The Masai Mara National Reserve isn’t one of Kenya’s birding hotspots. However, with more than 500 bird species recorded, this isn’t a bad place to mark off a lot of Kenya’s savannah species from your bird list. The park is particularly rich in raptors with 57 species present. Bateleurs can often be seen soaring above the grassy plains and predator kills are a good place to find up to six species of vultures scavenging. Migratory birds are present from November to April.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve, Naibor Camp (Fullboard)
Early in the morning at 06:00, take tea or coffee and a snack, then depart for the morning game
drive at 06:30 with a packed full breakfast to be consumed at a designated place in the Masai
Mara National Reserve wilderness. Continue with the game drive until time for lunch at the
camp at 13:00.
Afternoon game drive from 15:30 to 18:30, time for refreshments, then dinner at 19:30 followed
by overnight at 19:30 in the camp.
Day 3: Fly to Kenya Coast
This would be your last day of the Kenya Safari. You would wake up to a full breakfast, then be
transferred to Ol Kiombo Airstrip in Masai Mara National Reserve to catch a flight at 11:00 to
the Kenya coast. Fly either to Malindi Airport, Diani Airport, or Moi International Airport
Mombasa, where you are expected to arrive between 13:00 and be transferred to the hotel
reception.
