At a glance

Little Governors’ Camp is positioned on the edge of the Masai Mara National Reserve, nestled in a riverine forest around a watering hole close to the Mara River, with views across to the Olololo Escarpment. It is accessed by a very short boat ride across the Mara River and is intimate in character, featuring just 17 luxury en-suite tents tucked around a large watering hole teeming with both birds and wildlife. The guest tents at Little Governors’ Camp have wooden decks with large verandahs, allowing guests to enjoy the constant game activity that takes place around the marsh in front of the camp.

Detailed Kenya Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Masai Mara National Reserve, Little Governors Camp (Fullboard)

Meet and greet will take place either at the hotel reception or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, followed by a transfer to Wilson Airport depending on your flight departure time at 10:00. The flight from Nairobi City to Masai Mara National Reserve takes approximately 45 minutes, flying over the scenically beautiful Great Rift Valley.

Upon arrival at Musiara Airstrip in Masai Mara National Reserve, you will be met and start your game drive enroute using a 4WD Land Cruiser to the far riverbank, as Little Governors’ Camp is very quiet and secluded. From there, you will board a boat for a short ride across the Mara River, followed by an escorted walk through the riverine forest to the camp.

Lunch will be served at 12:30, followed by some relaxation at the camp. In the afternoon, there will be a game drive in an open 4WD Land Cruiser with a pop up roof from 15:30 to 18:30. Time for refresnshments and dinner at 19:30 then overnight will be at the camp.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve, Little Governors Camp (Fullboard)

Early in the morning at 06:00, take tea or coffee and a snack, then depart for the morning game drive at 06:30 with a packed full breakfast to be consumed at a designated place in the Masai Mara National Reserve wilderness. Continue with the game drive until lunchtime at the camp at 13:00, followed by relaxation at the camp.

The afternoon game drive will be from 15:30 until 18:30 time for refreshments, followed by dinner at a19:30 and overnight accommodation at the camp..

Day 3: Fly to Nairobi City

This will be your last day of the Kenya safari in Masai Mara National Reserve. You will wake up for a full breakfast, and then be transferred to Musiara Airstrip in Masai Mara National Reserve to catch a flight to Nairobi City at 11:15. After about 45 minutes, you will arrive and be transferred to the hotel reception in Nairobi City.

Easter & Christmas Surcharges
A surcharge would be charged per person per night on Good Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Easter Monday and on 24th 25th, 26th, 31st December and 1st January. The Surcharge would be confirmed at the time of booking for clarity purposes.

All weather firm shoe pair, short and dress to use during the day, trouser for use in the evenings with long sleeved shirt, sweater or jacket, hat, swimming costume, sunglass, camera, binocular, sun protection cream and insect repellent spray or cream.
