Detailed Kenya Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Masai Mara National Reserve, Entim Camp (Fullboard)
Meet and greet at the hotel reception, followed by a transfer to the airport before 07:00. Fly from
Moi International Airport Mombasa, Diani Airport, or Malindi Airport before 09:00 to Masai
Mara National Reserve’s Ol Kiombo Airstrip, arriving after about 2 hours. Upon arrival, you will
be met and picked up by a 4WD Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof and both sides open for a
transfer with game drive enroutte to Entim Mara Camp, with excellent chances of seeing wildlife
in their natural habitat in the Masai Mara National Reserve. There will be refreshments followed
by lunch at 13:00.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive from 15:30 to 18:30, followed by dinner at 19:30 and overnight
at the camp.

Entim Camp is a luxury tented safari camp situated on the edge of the riverine woodlands that overlook the Mara River. From its prime location inside the heart of the Masai Mara National Reserve, Entim Camp guests can witness the wildlife drama of thousands of wildebeest crossing the crocodile-infested Mara River right from the comfort of the veranda of their tent.
Entim Camp's ideal location along the Mara River affords guests the opportunity to watch the greatest wildlife show on earth - the migration of over a million wildebeest, zebra, and antelope from the Serengeti in neighbouring Tanzania into the Masai Mara between July and October - from the comfort and privacy of their verandah.
Raised on wooden decks overlooking the Mara River, Entim Camp's 12 luxury twin- or double bed, en-suite tents with flush-toilets and hot water showers are furnished in soft, earthy tones. Each tent has a cozy lounge area that walks out onto a private veranda which is shaded by the dense surrounding riverine woodland. The safari camp also has a tranquil guest lounge cum library, a separate bar, and a dining area which has a river-facing verandah so guests can enjoy watching the coming and going of game while they dine al fresco.
Entim Camp's superb location in the heart of the Masai Mara means that guests are often first on the scene at wildlife sightings. Guests staying at other safari camp accommodation in the surrounding area and conservancies have to first drive long distances in order to enter the national reserve and then cover even more distance before they get to a chance to see the animals the Mara is famous for. They also need to start making their way towards the gates before they close at 18h30 while Entim Camp guests can linger longer.
The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of Africa’s most famous parks. The wildlife viewing is superb throughout the year. The grassy plains and regular rainfall supports a huge population of herbivores, in turn attracting many predators. All three big cats are relatively easy to see. The yearly wildebeest migration coming through the park is one of the world’s most amazing wildlife spectacles.
The Serengeti-Mara ecosystem is home to the annual wildebeest migration where 2.5 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelles follow the rains in search of new grass. They make their way from the Serengeti National Park to the Masai Mara somewhere around July and August, and usually arrive in September. The crossing of the Mara River along the way is one of the highlights of this spectacular event. They slowly head back into Tanzania around October.

The Masai Mara National Reserve isn’t one of Kenya’s birding hotspots. However, with more than 500 bird species recorded, this isn’t a bad place to mark off a lot of Kenya’s savannah species from your bird list. The park is particularly rich in raptors with 57 species present. Bateleurs can often be seen soaring above the grassy plains and predator kills are a good place to find up to six species of vultures scavenging. Migratory birds are present from November to April.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve, Entim Camp (Fullboard)
Early in the morning at 06:00, enjoy tea or coffee with a snack, then depart for a morning game
drive at 06:30. A packed full breakfast will be provided to be consumed at a designated spot in
the Masai Mara National Reserve wilderness. Continue the game drive until lunchtime at the
camp at 13:00.
The afternoon game drive is from 15:30 to 18:30, followed by relaxation, then dinner at 19:30
and overnight at the camp.
Day 3: Fly to Kenya Coast
This is your last day of the Kenya Safari. You will wake up for a full breakfast, and then be
transferred to Ol Kiombo Airstrip in the Masai Mara National Reserve to catch a flight to the
Kenyan coast at 11:00. Fly to either Malindi Airport, Diani Airport, or Moi International Airport
Mombasa, arriving at 13:00 where you will be transferred to the hotel reception.
