Very early in the morning, at 05:15, a sumptuous breakfast will be ready. Then, at 05:45, you will depart for your full-day hunt of wild game in Masai Mara National Reserve until time for lunch to be at a designated place, either under a tree in a raised plain area or by the riverbank. There is a somewhat primal joy in eating a meal in the raw wilderness of the African savannah, with views framed by stunning landscapes and magnificent wildlife.

Packed or picnic lunch is usually arranged during a full-day game outing in the reserve so that you do not have to return to the lodge or camp for lunch. The meal is provided in packed lunch boxes by your camp or lodge, arranged the night before to allow adequate preparation time. Though the meal is typically simple, it is satisfying, and the often scenic setting in the wild makes it truly memorable. Most lodges and camps in the wilderness provide this meal at no extra cost in lieu of lunch in their respective restaurants.

Game viewing and game drives will continue, returning to the lodge in time for refreshments at 18:30 then dinner at 19:30 and an overnight stay.

During this afternoon game drive, you could participate in the optional activity at Masai Mara National Reserve, where you will meet a Masai family, mostly women who sell ornaments and curios. They will also demonstrate their deep affection for their homestead, called a Boma, which consists of round huts made of sticks, mud, and cow dung. Children will be joyfully singing with their mothers, expressing their natural hospitality to visitors.

Despite the current mandatory school attendance, some Masai children may be reluctant to attend due to strong cultural beliefs. These include the importance of cattle as a measure of wealth and the tradition of marrying at a young age, often when they are just entering their teenage years. Please note this activity is purely optional and incurs an additional cost of US$30.00, organized by your driver- guide.

The flight lasts about one hour and is followed by a champagne bush breakfast at the landing site, making it a memorable luxury safari activity ideal for honeymooners, families, and all travelers. The itinerary for the unforgettable hot air balloon flight will be provided separately upon request.
