Maji Moto Eco Camp is a wonderful place to simply be… To relax and just take in the amazing natural beauty. But, there are many interesting ways to increase your appreciation of these Loita Hills and their surrounding savannah. OthercampACTIVITIES organized FREE OF CHARGE

The name Maji Moto means Hot Water, and this refers to the natural hot spring near the village. Surrounded by trees, a dip in the spring at evening is a refreshing way to soak away the days exertions.

When School is in session a visit by travelers (you, our guests) is usually cause for great excitement. Maji Moto Eco Camp has established a relationship with several local schools, and often our visitors decide they wish to help the school and children, sometimes by sponsoring a student, sometimes by providing the school with needed supplies… a box of pencils… a ream of paper. Small things that mean a lot. OthercampACTIVITIES organized for EXTRA CHARGE

A game drive at night (which is not available in the Masai Mara NP) often shows many of the smaller animals rarely seen on daytime game drives: Bat-eared Fox, Bush baby, Honey Badger, Jackal, Mongoose, Spring-hare or Striped Hyena. And if you’re lucky – Aardvark or even Leopard. (Please see our activity-pricelist for charges!)

One of the simplest activities is enjoying a Sundowner, gazing west over the savannah towards the Masai Mara and the setting sun. The camp staff will organize nice sundowner set up (table with chairs and some snacks) on a view point… all you will need to add for are drinks. (Please see our drinkspricelist for charges!)

The camp is equipped with many Mountain Bikes (helmets too) for short trips away from camp. Our staff include several expert cyclists who will lead you on these journeys, and who can take care of any mechanical issues that may arise. (Please see our activity-pricelist for charges!)

Masai Mara is on driving distance from Maji Moto (1 hrs to park gate). Depart early with packed lunch to Masai Mara national reserve for game drive following BIG FIVE at this world’s prime wildlife reserve. Return back to the camp before dark for dinner.

Three days of walking with Masai guides to reach Masai Mara National Reserve. Pure adventure covering on foot approximately 37 miles / 60 km in total.
