This 13 Day Fly-in Safari truly has it all. Guests will experience 4 of the great wildlife havens in Kenya. Flying from camp to camp over the wildlife heartland of Africa, exploring completely diverse regions and ever changing terrain in search of Africa’s finest creatures.

13 Day Flying Safari in Kenya

Meru National Park, Laikipia and Masai Mara Game Reserve

The flying safari in Kenya is based on either Cottars 1920’s, Saruni Camp, Richards Camp or Elephant Pepper Camp.

DAY 1 OF THE SAFARI IN KENYA BEGINS IN NAIROBI CITY, NAIROBI SERENA HOTEL

You will be met and transferred from the Jomo Kenyatta International airport to Nairobi Serena Hotel on bed and breakfast.

DAY 2, 3 & 4 MERU NATIONAL PARK, ELSA’S KOPJE

On arrival at 0845 hours, you will be met by a driver-guide and taken to the lodge, which has 8 en-suite elegant open-plan ‘rooms-with-a-view’, a three-level Honeymoon suite and a Private House consisting of one double and one twin room with a shared sitting room, all of which are designed to incorporate natural features of the rocky hillside.

There is an open bar, sitting and dining room with an infinity pool. Activities include day & night game drives, guided walks, bush meals, sundowners, river excursions, fishing and massage…. Not forgetting the rhino sanctuary.

DAY 5 OF YOUR SAFARI IN KENYA TAKES YOU TO LAIKIPIA, LOISABA LODGE

You will leave Elsa’s Kopje on Tropic Air scheduled flight after breakfast departing at 0830 hours and fly to Loisaba. You will be met by your driver-guide and driven to the lodge. Loisaba is located on a 61,000 acre private game ranch. Loisaba lodge has seven en-suite rooms with decks overlooking panoramic Laikipia, a beautiful dining and sitting area, swimming pool, tennis court and massage room.

Activities include day and night game drives, walks, horse riding, mountain biking; cultural visits, bush meals, sundowners; a private hot air balloon, helicopter excursions & quad biking are available at an extra cost.

DAY 6 OF THE AFRICAN SAFARI LOISABA STARBED OPTIONAL

Alternatively to the lodge, there is an option to sleep on the raised wooden platforms with beds on wheels that can either be under the stars or under the thatched roof. You will be hosted by the Samburu.

DAY 7 & 8 OF THE SAFARI IN KENYA – SABUK LODGE, Laikipia

After breakfast, you will have a short drive by road to Sabuk, home to the first female safari guide and a stunning wilderness destination perched up on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River.

Six beautifully furnished open sided en-suite cottages overlooking the river and a secluded family cottage with one double and one twin room, a shared sitting area and a private swimming pool. Activities include day & night game drives, walks, bush meals, sundowners, line fishing, swimming and camel trekking.

DAY 9 OF THE SAFARI IN KENYA – SABUK FLY CAMP, OPTIONAL

Today will be spent walking with, or riding a camel. A professional crew of Samburu warriors will accompany you. They will set up a fly camp for one night on the banks of the tumbling Ewaso Nyiro River. The trek is great for family groups or couples wishing to learn more about the un-spoilt wilderness and its natural inhabitants.

DAY 10, 11 & 12 OF THE SAFARI IN KENYA- THE MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

Cottars 1920’s Camp, Saruni Camp, Richard’s Camp, and Elephant Pepper Camp

After an early breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for the Tropic Air scheduled flight at 0930 hours to the Masai Mara, which offers a true wildlife experience, one that is hard to duplicate anywhere else in the world. You can stay in any of the following camps: Cottars 1920’s elegant style white tents and traditional luxury; Saruni’s intimate cottages with luxurious interiors and Italian fittings; Richard’s Camp, a traditional tented camp in true safari style with modern surprises, or Elephant Pepper Camp, bringing you back to nature, no permanent structures, just the sights and sounds of the bush. Activities include game drives, cultural visits, bush breakfasts, sundowners and guided bush walks.

DAY 13 OF THE SAFARI IN KENYA – DEPARTURE

You will be transferred to the airstrip for the 1100 hours flight back to Nairobi. On your arrival our representative will meet and transfer you to your Nairobi hotel or to the international airport.

End of Safari in Kenya.

PLEASE YOU ARE ADVISED FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT AND COMFORT TO CARRY THE FOLLOWING ITEMS.

All weather firm pair of shoe, short and dress to use during the day, trouser for use in the evenings with long sleeved shirt, sweater or jacket, hat, swimming costume, sunglass, camera, film, binocular, sun protection cream and insect repellent spray or cream.

This itinerary costing is based minimum of 2 clients due to the aspect of charter flight from Meru to Loisaba.

Baggage restriction of 15kgs per person is applicable on all small aircrafts, preferably in soft bags.
KWS charge a supplement of US$15 per person for each night game drive and game walk whilst staying at EK.
House of Waine does not allow triples.

Loisaba Starbeds are closed from 1st April to 31st May and in November

EASTER SURCHARGE AND CHRISTMAS SURCHARGE

A surcharge would be charged per person per night on Good Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Easter Monday and on 24th 25th, 26th, 31st December and 1st January.
